Many news outlets were reporting that Tariq Uwakwe was looking for an exit from Chelsea FC as he thought there will not be much space for him in the first team any sooner. He was also being linked to the French outlet Lyon by a few media outlets. However, with Frank Lampard coming into the ranks as a manager, there is a hope that we might see a resurgence of Chelsea youths and they might be getting more playing time with the senior team members.

Tariq Uwakwe, who is nicknamed as the master of long shots, has now established himself as an important under 23 team member, was born in London and joined Chelsea Academy as an under 9 player.
