Chelsea will look to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup when they take on Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. Here is the team we expect Frank Lampard to select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Lampard is expected to rotate his side and thus the first team goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga could be given a rest with Willy Caballero given a rare start as the main shot topper.

Defence: Andreas Christensen remains on the sidelines due to the injury. Antonio Rudiger might still be lacking match fitness even though he has returned in full training after recovering from a groin injury, and thus he might not be involved in the game against Man Utd as well.

Fikayo Tomori has been excellent for Chelsea since breaking into the team this season but he might be given a rest tomorrow with Marc Guehi coming in alongside Kurt Zouma in the middle of the back four.

Reece James is pushing for a recall so Cesar Azpilicueta should be given the night off while Emerson Palmieri is expected to come in at left-back for Chelsea with Marcos Alonso making way.

Midfield: N’Golo Kante is not back from his groin injury yet and is once again been ruled out for Chelsea. Ross Barkley might also be unavailable due to an ankle problem which has kept him out of action for the last two games.

With Ruben Loftus-Cheek still working his way back from a serious Achilles injury Lampard doesn’t have too many options in midfield so Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are expected to keep their places.

However, Mason Mount has played a lot of football this season so he may get a rest with youngster Billy Gilmour getting another chance to impress against Manchester United tomorrow evening.

Attack: It might be finally time for Michy Batshuayi to shine and show what he has got. He could chip in as the main striker while Tammy Abraham might be given a rest. Olivier Giroud might again come as a substitute from the bench.

Christian Pulisic bagged a superb hat-trick during Chelsea’s win at Burnley on Sunday so he’s likely to be rested with Callum Hudson-Odoi given a recall after being named on the bench at the weekend.

Willian may also be given the night off against Man Utd so Pedro could be recalled to make his first appearance in almost a month after struggling for form and fitness this season.

Here is how we think Chelsea will line-up:
