In a recent documentary released by Real Madrid TV, Eden Hazard has said that he was constantly in touch with the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez after 2018 world cup and thus was confident about his move from Stamford Bridge to Santiago Bernabeu.
If Chelsea fans remember it right, Eden Hazard had clearly indicated that his next move was going to be Real Madrid. Credit goes to him for the fact that he left respectfully and unlike ungrateful players like De Bruyne, didn’t stop training or performing just because he wanted to force a way out.
“Courtois is someone I know well and in which I trust,” he said.
“He always told me it was the best club.
“When he finished the World Cup in Russia I wanted to go to Madrid, I had already made the decision.
“I spoke to Florentino and told me that I expected in Madrid.
“After I spoke with Luka Modric and felt that everyone wanted me to see at Real Madrid. And finally fulfilled.”
It has been a tough start for Hazard at Real so far, with just one goal from his opening seven games in all competitions.
